Spring Slam 2017
The Gaming For Pixels Spring Slam 2017 is the official launch of the Gaming For Pixels campaign and is also held in honour of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
The Spring Slam is a 48-hour online gaming marathon which runs from 8pm EST, Friday April 7th 2017 – 8pm EST Sunday April 9th 2017.
Gamers of any gaming ability and anywhere in the world are welcome to:
- Sign up to join the Spring Slam in advance and then start fundraising for the cause any time during the Spring Slam weekend.
- Choose the start time and duration of their fundraising run that weekend.
- Livestream their gaming session or hold private gaming sessions with friends and fellow gamers.
- Rise to the challenge of unlocking fundraising achievement levels to get cool prizes and rewards.
In line with our mission and to kick off the conversation about violence against women with gamers:
We will provide every participant and donor with a virtual anti-VAW toolkit so that participants would have an easily accessible list of articles, helplines, and other online resources about VAW that is just a click away.
After registration, gamers can also choose to continue fundraising with Gaming For Pixels after the Spring Slam if they wish.
